HOW TO APOLOGIZE

 • Series: ACTS | Authentic Christians That Serve

HOW TO APOLOGIZE ACTS 22:1-29 In Acts 22:1, the word defense is word we get apology. It is neither acknowledging wrong doing or appeal for forgiveness, same idea as I Pet. 3:15. In Acts 22, Paul: I. STANDS BEFORE ANGRY MOB 22:1-21. In Acts 22:1-5, he shares story of who he was before he knew Jesus. His credentials are the best. In Acts 22:6-16, Paul shares transforming experience of meeting Jesus and becoming a Christian. He had been convicted on the road but he was converted in Damascus. In Acts 22:17-21, Paul shares the call to surrender of living his life for Jesus. II. STANDS BEFORE ROMAN MILITARY 22:24-29 To quieten the crowd, the commander ordered-v. 24. Did not expect a criminal to tell truth unless it was beaten out of him. III. OUR APOLOGY (DEFENSE). Every Christian has a story of grace to tell. The details are different but we are a reflection of the life changing power of the Gospel. At least 3 benefits of our sharing, apology: 1. Exaltation of God Psa. 107:1, 2. 2. Encouragement for others. You ARE the world’s greatest authority what Jesus has done for you. 3. Evangelization of unbelievers I Chron. 16:24. Two great foes: All talk, no walk and all walk no talk. Make sure our lives line up with our lips! We MUST talk the walk and walk the talk!
